Hopeful Beginnings: An Opportunity for a Fresh Start

We understand that many women experience unplanned pregnancies and need the support, counsel and understanding of trained professionals during this challenging time in their lives. As a result, St. Mary's Services, a maternity counseling and adoption agency, began the Hopeful Beginnings Program. As the name suggests and was chosen by women who also have faced an unplanned pregnancy, we truly believe that through this difficult time in your life, there is an opportunity for a hopeful beginning ahead for you and your baby – and we're here to help you find that.

As part of the Hopeful Beginnings Program, our counselors don't just talk. We listen too. We provide women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with free, confidential adoption counseling and supportive resources in a non-judgmental environment. Our counselors will meet with you regularly at a time and place that is convenient for you, and offer you support during your decision-making process and throughout your pregnancy. With Hopeful Beginnings, you will receive compassionate, caring attention and support regardless of your decision to make an adoption plan or parent your child. If you need maternity clothes or assistance with medical or living expenses, Hopeful Beginnings can help as well.

Among one of the many benefits of the Hopeful Beginnings Program is that you will have the opportunity to choose from the families we have carefully selected and thoroughly screened. You can watch your child grow with the loving, stable adoptive family that you chose.

Throughout St. Mary’s more than 125-year history, we have provided hopeful beginnings for infants, birth parents and adoptive parents of all races and religions. Let us help you as well.
