Parent Support Group

As an ongoing support to families who adopt through St. Mary’s, every month adoptive parents meet to discuss their milestones, challenges and questions with other adoptive parents. A St. Mary’s counselor facilitates the meeting, but adoptive parents set the agenda and discuss topics that are of most interest to the group. The purpose of the group is for new parents to talk with each other and share advice, stories and know that they’re not alone on their parenting journey!

If you plan to attend, please RSVP at 1-847-870-8181 and ask to speak with Cindy, St. Mary’s clinical supervisor. Adoptive parents who worked with other adoption agencies are welcome to attend.

All meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s, 717 W. Kirchhoff Rd., Arlington Heights, IL.

St. Mary’s also hosts educational adoption seminars for adoptive parents, which are open to the public as well.
