Meet Gosia & Lukasz

Gosia & Lukasz

We really appreciate you taking the time to get to know us better. We hope that we could be a good match to be a forever family for your child. It is rather a difficult task to describe who we really are in few paragraphs and photos, but we will try to do our best. Words cannot describe how excited we are about the possibility of growing our family. Adopting our son, Oliver, was an amazing experience and he is super excited to become a big brother.

We can assure you that we will always do our best to provide for your child – for our child – and give him or her a forever loving home. We will work hard to create a fun and laughter filled home with support and structure to ensure that our child grows up happy and is able to accomplish anything that they wish.

The adoption process is not easy, but it is unique because it shows how much the birth and adoptive parents are committed to the wellbeing of their child. We would like you to know that our main priority will always be family, and we promise that you will always have a special place in our hearts and in our lives. We know this is not an easy decision for you, but we do appreciate your consideration.

We hope to hear from you,
Gosia, Lukasz & Oliver

Fun Facts & Favorites
Childhood Memory:

Gosia: Growing up in a suburb (back in Poland) has allowed my siblings and me a lot of freedom; we were always running around with all the neighborhood kids, inventing our own games or exploring the nature. I think playing “house” was one of my favorites, where we would draw the outline of the walls of all the rooms in our “house”, and make mud pies.
Lukasz: Spending time with my brother and cousins at my grandparents’ house brings up the best memories. I think having a big family with lots of kids is great. Although there was always a lot of work around the house and in the garden, there was always time for play. My favorite memories are from the summers, when we would spend our days biking in the neighborhood or playing soccer, and then organizing bonfires at night with our friends.

TV Show/Movie:

We both love watching all sorts of movies, from comedies, action movies to dramas. Our favorite movies are what we call the “classics” including all parts of the “Iron Man” and the “Transformers”. For some reason we can watch these movies, over and over. Few of all time favorite TV shows are “The Office”, “Modern Family,” “Homeland,” “Walking Dead,” and our new favorite “This is Us.”

“Instant Mom” by Nia Vardalos. And yes, Gosia did read all of the “Twilight” books. Lukasz enjoys reading about history.

We both enjoy working on do-it-yourself projects around the house. We have been remodeling our house for few years now, taking one project at a time. Gardening is another hobby we enjoy and we hope to have a veggie garden in our backyard. Gosia also likes photography, and Lukasz is interested in computers and likes to keep up with the new technology.

Honestly, there are too many to name! ? Recently, chicken alfredo fettuccine, pulled pork, or pork chops with homemade fries are few of our favorites. We like all kinds of food, but we usually prefer anything that we can prepare on our own, especially the Polish dishes. And of course, every good meal has to be followed up with some chocolate for desert. We love chocolate!

Our honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Family Tradition:

An annual family tent camping trip and water park weekend getaway – it is always a blast.

Holiday Memory:

Probably one of our favorite holiday memories is getting our first Christmas tree together. It was a task getting the tree attached on top of our little car to bring it home, but it was all worth it at the end. The smell of the tree really made it feel like Christmas. This was the first time we opted to get a live tree, instead of an artificial one, and we have been doing that ever since.

Fun Facts:

Gosia: Gosia has a square thumb – she cut her finger when she was very little, and when it all healed a scar remained making the thumb appear square. Gosia holds a high school diploma from a Polish school which she attended on Saturdays.
Lukasz: Lukasz has a t-shirt that states “Mr. Fix-it” because he really can fix almost anything. Just to be a little different, Lukasz decided to take Gosia’s last name when we got married.
Both: We are both fluent in the Polish language. We met online, and recently our story was featured in a Polish-language newspaper in Chicago 😉

What Friends Say

“I met Gosia at college where she inspired me to advance in my education beyond my bachelor aspirations. At that time I worked with Gosia’s husband Lukasz. I have known Lukasz for many years and I could not ask for a better husband for my college best friend. Lukasz is the most genuinely caring and thoughtful person I have ever met. Gosia and Lukasz form such loving and caring couple. They are living in harmony which creates a warm and welcoming home. I have no reservation to say that they can provide the love and care your child will not find anywhere else.”
– Krzysztof

“I know Gosia through my husband as they studied together. Gosia has always been inspiring and never hesitates to help. As a mother of two, I can say that she is a very mature, full of energy and love person and by seeing how she interacts with my kids I can say that she will provide the best care a child can get. It’s heartbreaking for me to see a couple like Gosia and Lukasz trying so hard to have a full family which they deserve. I know that they will be the best couple your child can find.”
– Renata

“Everyone should have friends like Gosia and Lukasz! I was so blessed to meet them through working with Gosia. Working closely with her, I can honestly say that in all types of situations they are just as kind and patient to strangers as to colleagues and friends. They are so smart and yet they are very humble and caring. They are hardworking and consistent in their “can do” positive approach to life and its challenges. And, they like to have fun!

Gosia and Lukasz like to help plan family vacations like short camping trips with their three generations. They love to play with their nieces and nephews, cheering the elementary school age children at their games. They are very family oriented and enjoy the fun and beauty of holiday and birthday celebrations!

Gosia always does a little something extra to celebrate a colleague’s birthday such as baking cookies from a new recipe or decorating a cubicle with colorful decorations. Lukasz likes to create a change or two in their home, planning the steps well beforehand.

Be at peace knowing that your precious Baby will be most tenderly welcomed into the kindest, loving, gentle, and strong arms of Gosia and Lukasz surrounded by their relatives, and cherished forever.”
– Barb

“Uważam, że Gosia i Lukasz są w pełni gotowi do przyjęcia, pokochania i prawidłowego wychowania kolejnego dziecka – którego bardzo pragną. Oczekują tego momentu aby powiekszyc swoja rodzine, a ja aby kolejny raz zostać babcią. Od siebie oferuje pomoc i wsparcie w wychowaniu ich dzieci.”
– Mama Gosi

“I think that Gosia & Lukasz are fully ready to receive, love and raise another child – as this is something that they have always desired. They are looking forward to expanding their family, and I am looking forward to becoming a grandmother once again. I offer them my help and full support in raising their children.”
– Gosia’s mom
